Automotive Service Manager

The Automotive Service Manager is responsible for the efficient and profitable operation of the Service Department.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
*Responsible for generating gross profit and maintaining minimum standards of hours per RO, Effective Rate and gross profit percentage.
* Responsible for welcoming customers with a warm and sincere greeting
* Ensures excellent service standards and maintains high customer satisfaction
* Responsible for hiring and supervising all service department personnel, as well as monitoring their performance in servicing the customer
* Responsible for maintaining own goals and objectives and meeting minimum requirements outlined by upper management
* Provides training on administrative policies and procedures for all Dept. personnel
* Keeping up-to-date on manufacturer warranty and policy procedures while serving as a liaison with factory representatives

Job Requirements

* Individuals employed in this position must be able to maintain the profitability of their departments while controlling expenses and maintaining customer satisfaction
* Individuals employed in this position must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions and management
* Individuals employed in this position must be able to read, and generally analyze and interpret relevant business periodical, professional journals, technical procedures and/or government regulations and write reports and general business correspondence
* Individuals employed in this position must demonstrate sufficient computer literacy
* Individuals employed in this position must possess a valid driver's license in good standing
* Individual employed in this position must possess a positive attitude and commitment to adhere to and administer company policies, procedures and standards
