We are currently searching for Automotive Technicians of all levels for all of our Freehold dealership locations to service our growing clientele and grow with us!

Responsibilities



  • Receives repair orders from dispatcher and take to stall area

  • Reports accurate MPI's on every vehicle that you work on, for advisor to explain to customers

  • Diagnoses cause of malfunction and perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.

  • Communicates with Parts Department to obtain needed parts

  • Saves and tags parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer

  • Examines the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required and them notifies service advisor

  • Responsible for documenting all work performed

  • Road-tests vehicles when required or refer to the test technician, keeping in mind that the customer vehicle will not be used for personal errands

  • Ensures cleanliness of all customers vehicles

  • Keeps shop area neat, clean, and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools

  • Understands and follows federal, state and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.

  • Complies with factory and state requirements for technical certifications

  • Attends factory-sponsored training classes as required

  • Reports any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor

  • Follows company safety procedures and policies

  • Individuals employed in this position must be able to stand, sit and mobilize through various dealership work areas (sometimes for extended periods)

  • Individuals employed in this position must have excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills; cultural sensitivity and demonstrates ability to work with diverse people groups

  • Individuals employed in this position must be able to enter and exit vehicles to demonstrate features and options

  • Individuals employed in this position must have a valid Driver's license in good standing

  • Individuals employed in this position must demonstrate sufficient computer literacy

  • Individuals employed in this position must perform light housekeeping duties

  • Individual employed in this position must possess a positive attitude and commitment to adhere to and administer company policies, procedures and standards
