Job Description


The Cashier is responsible for processing all transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with company's established policies and procedures. This position is classified as non-exempt from applicable wage and hour laws. Following is a list of certain minimum required duties, responsibilities and qualifications associated with the position, subject to applicable law. This list is not all inclusive and may be amended or supplemented as business needs dictate.


Job Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for welcoming customers with a warm and sincere greeting

  • Ensures excellent service standards and maintains high customer satisfaction

  • Receives cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers and records the amount received in an accurate manner

  • Provides proper change and/or receipts to the customers

  • Provides exceptional customer service throughout checkout process

  • Records transactions on daily settlement sheets and verifies against cash-on-hand

  • Answers and transfers phone calls or take written messages when needed personnel not available

  • Provides assistance to the accounting office as directed on an individual task basis

  • Ensures management and accurate distribution of customer's license plates according to dealership's guidelines

  • Follows company safety procedures and policies

  • Individuals employed in this position must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions and management

  • Individual employed in this position must possess a positive attitude and commitment to adhere to and administer company policies, procedures and standards
